Roberto Martinez: "David Marshall was phenomenal"

Everton boss Roberto Martinez praises Cardiff City goalkeeper David Marshall.

Everton boss Roberto Martinez hailed the performance of Cardiff City goalkeeper David Marshall after the Blues beat the Welsh side 2-1 at Goodison Park.

The Bluebirds' shot-stopper made several eye-catching saves before he was eventually beaten by Seamus Coleman's miscued shot late on.

He told reporters: "David Marshall was phenomenal today. [His display] was as good a performance from a goalkeeper you will see.

"It was a really intense game. Cardiff were very good. Seamus was all-action, he was incredible and we're delighted with the win."

Everton are currently sixth in the Premier League.
