Roberto Martinez: 'Players are hungry for more'

Everton boss Roberto Martinez insists that his side want to improve and build on their win over Chelsea.

Everton boss Roberto Martinez has insisted that his players are hungry for more success following their 1-0 victory over Chelsea on Saturday.

Steven Naismith scored just before half time to give Martinez's side their first win of the Premier League campaign.

"To be able to beat a team like Chelsea, to keep a clean sheet the way we did it, it gives you great, great satisfaction," Martinez told reporters. "But that group of players there is not just happy with that, they want to work hard and be better at what we want to do."

"You're looking around at the players that were missing today - Romelu Lukaku, Arouna Kone, Steven Pienaar, the list goes on.

"You're starting to get that really strong dressing room that's not just 11 or 12 players that can play. It's real good competition for places and for me that's very important going forward."

Everton are still unbeaten in the Premier League this season after three draws and one win.
