Roberto Martinez: 'We've been outstanding so far'

Everton boss Robert Martinez is delighted with his side's performances so far this season.

Everton boss Robert Martinez believes that his side have had an "outstanding" season halfway into their campaign.

The Toffees have obtained 37 points and are in the Champions League places following their 2-1 win over Southampton, as Seamus Coleman and Romelu Lukaku got the goals at Goodison Park.

Martinez told reporters: "37 points is an outstanding return for halfway through the season. We've had unlucky draws and there is margin for improvement."

Everton face Stoke City on New Year's Day.
