David Moyes launches a scathing verbal attack on his own midfielder Marouane Fellaini for headbutting Ryan Shawcross.

Everton manager David Moyes has condemned the actions of his midfielder Marouane Fellaini during today's 1-1 draw with Stoke City.

In the second half, the Belgian international was caught on camera appearing to deliberately headbutt Stoke captain Ryan Shawcross inside the area.

While the incident was missed by the officials, Fellaini is expected to be punished by the Football Association when they review the video footage.

Speaking about the clash, Moyes insisted that Fellaini "deserves" any suspension that he is handed by the governing body.

"He deserves to get the punishment. I've seen it, it's a terrible thing to do and I expect him to be punished," Moyes told BBC Sport. "It's down to the FA. I've told him it's not acceptable and whatever he gets, he and us deserve it."

Fellaini joined the Toffees in the summer of 2008.
