Everton manager David Moyes says that protests planned at Goodison Park tomorrow (Saturday) will not affect his side on the pitch.

Everton manager David Moyes has said that protests planned at Goodison Park tomorrow (Saturday) will not affect his side on the pitch.

The Blue Union have been granted permission by police to stage a march outside of the stadium to voice their discontent over a lack of investment at the club.

Despite the disruption, Moyes inists that his side will be focused for the visit of Aston Villa.

"The media talk about [the protest] but we are focusing on what is on the pitch," he said. "I thought when the window ended, [the off-field issues] would stop.

"But it doesn't change our focus or how we play or our preparations.

"Anyone who walks into Goodison tomorrow is there to support the club 100% because we need it at the moment."

The Toffees are currently 11th in the Premier League, but have played one game fewer than the majority of teams after their opening day fixture was postponed due to the London riots.
