Preview: Burnley vs. Everton

Sports Mole previews the Premier League clash at Turf Moor between Burnley and Everton.

Burnley will be hoping to win their first Premier League game at the ninth attempt when they host Everton on Sunday afternoon.

Sean Dyche's side have struggled in front of goal which has resulted in the Clarets registering just four points since the middle of August, and a 3-1 defeat to West Ham United last week wouldn't have brightened the mood at Turf Moor.

Midfielder Dean Marney is in contention after missing the last three games with a hamstring injury, while Steven Reid could also return to the side.

Toffees boss Roberto Martinez has admitted that he is relieved to see his side improve at the back after conceding a hatful of goals during the opening weeks of the campaign.

The Merseyside outfit have conceded just four goals in five games and successive clean sheets against Aston Villa and Lille have given Everton the platform to move up the standings.

Ross Barkley is expected to be available, despite playing twice in five days on his return from injury as well as suffering a cut above his eye on Thursday night.

Steven Naismith and Leon Osman will return after missing the game in the Europa League, as will Romelu Lukaku who made an impact as a substitute in France.
