Leon Osman returns to the Everton side to face Sunderland but Phil Jagielka misses out for the Toffees.

Leon Osman has been named in the Everton team to face Sunderland after missing the midweek goalless draw with Arsenal.

The England international had been struggling with a groin injury but he has proved his fitness to replace Ross Barkley.

Phil Jagielka misses out for the Toffees, forcing David Moyes to bring in Johnny Heitinga for the defender.

Paolo Di Canio makes one change to his Sunderland side as Jack Colback comes in for Phil Bardsley.

Sunderland: Mignolet, Rose, N'Diaye, Larsson, Graham, Colback, O'Shea, Johnson, McCLean, Cuellar, Sessegnon

Everton: Howard, Baines, Gibson, Heitinga, Mirallas, Distin, Osman, Pienaar, Coleman, Fellaini, Anichebe
