Everton have agreed a deal with AEK Athens for centre-back Kostas Manolas.
The Merseyside club are believed to be ready to part with £500,000 but are waiting to see if they complete a reported £7m deal with Rangers for striker Nikica Jelavic.
Personal terms have also been accepted by Manolas, who has made five appearances at under-21 level for his country.
AEK, who are experiencing financial difficulties, are looking to cash in on the defender, who is out of contract with the club in the summer.
The 20-year-old is nephew of Greek football and AEK legend Stelios Manolas.
