Hamburger SV launch Nikica Jelavic raid?

Hamburg plan a £6m move for Everton striker Nikica Jelavic, according to a report.

Bundesliga giants Hamburger SV are reportedly preparing a £6m bid for Everton striker Nikica Jelavic.

The Croatian international is believed to be worried about his position under new Toffees boss Roberto Martinez, and the German side want to take advantage with a summer swoop.

Everton signed Arouna Kone on a free transfer last month, but are yet to decide if they will listen to offers for Jelavic in order to make room for the Ivorian, according to Daily Mail.

Hamburg sporting director Oliver Kreuzer spoke briefly to confirm that his side are interested in signing Jelavic, stating on negotiations: "We are dealing with it."

Jelavic struggled for goals during his first full season in the Premier League, scoring eight times in 43 appearances.
