Leon Osman wants Romelu Lukaku return

Leon Osman admits that he wants Romelu Lukaku to return to Everton, following his spell on loan last season.

Everton midfielder Leon Osman has said that he is hopeful the club can sign Romelu Lukaku this summer.

The Belgian enjoyed a successful spell on loan at the Toffees last season, but he has returned to Chelsea.

His chances of first-team football may be limited at Stamford Bridge due to the summer signings of Diego Costa and Didier Drogba, and Osman has admitted that he would be delighted to see the striker return.

"It would be good to have Romelu back," he told the club's official website.

"We know the quality he's got. There might be a bit more to do to get him back here but it would be great if he could come back in time to play in the game."

Lukaku scored 16 goals for Everton last season.
