Report: Romelu Lukaku to rival Diego Costa at Chelsea

Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku will remain at Stamford Bridge for the 2014-15 campaign and rival Diego Costa for a starting berth, according to reports.

Romelu Lukaku will reportedly stay at Chelsea beyond the summer and rival Diego Costa for a first-team place this season.

Recent reports have suggested that the Belgium international is poised for a permanent switch to Everton after enjoying a season-long loan on Merseyside last term.

The confirmation of Costa's arrival earlier in the week was thought to have pushed Lukaku nearer to the exit door at Stamford Bridge.

However, according to Sky Sports News, the 21-year-old will return to West London for pre-season and remain with the Blues for the duration of the 2014-15 campaign.

Lukaku struck 16 times in all competitions for the Toffees last season and helped Roberto Martinez's side qualify for the Europa League.
