Everton have reportedly decided to press on with signing two replacements for midfielder Ross Barkley.
Last month, it emerged that manager Ronald Koeman has told Barkley he must pen a new contract at Goodison Park within a certain timeframe if he was to be considered as part of his first-team squad for next season.
However, as it stands, Barkley still has just one year remaining on his deal and it appears that the England international does not have a future at Goodison Park.
According to The Mirror, Koeman is continuing with his pursuit of both Davy Klaassen and Gylfi Sigurdsson as he looks for more end product from Barkley's position behind the lone striker.
Barkley managed five goals and eight assists from 36 Premier League outings this season, but he contributed just one goal and one assist during his last 10 appearances.
It seems that it was enough to convince Koeman to look elsewhere, and he is hopeful of bringing in both Ajax's Klaassen and Swansea City's Sigurdsson as he looks to put together a squad capable of breaking into the top six during the next campaign.
