Bristol Rovers midfielder Matt Gill will join Exeter City on a permanent basis in January.
The 33-year-old is currently on loan at the Devon club after falling out of favour with Rovers earlier in the season, but had been expected to return to his parent side next month.
However, it has now been confirmed that the former Norwich City midfielder's contract has been cancelled, freeing him to join Exeter for a second time in 2014.
Gill, who started his career at Peterborough United, has been on loan at Exeter since October.
