Fenerbahce retain Turkish Cup

Fenerbahce successfully defend the Turkish Cup thanks to a narrow 1-0 victory over Trabzonspor in Ankara.

Fenerbahce have retained the Turkish Cup with a narrow 1-0 victory over Trabzonspor in Ankara.

The game was decided in the ninth minute when Moussa Sow got on the end of Mehmet Topal's pass to convert.

The result means that Aykut Kocaman's side finish the season with silverware after missing out on the league title for a second consecutive time to rivals Galatasaray.

Fener's victory in last season's Turkish Cup final was their first success in the tournament for 29 years.
