Fiorentina coach Vincenzo Montella has revealed that he believes the Giuseppe Rossi and Mario Gomez partnership will only get better with time.

The duo linked up to help the Viola to a 5-2 win over Genoa prior to the international break and will hope for a repeat against Cagliari on Sunday.

"Gomez and Rossi are working extremely hard to fit into the team," Montella told the club's official website.

"They are both very selfless players and that's rare to see in such first-rate strikers. It is only going to get better with time as they adapt to each other's game," he added.

Fiorentina will looking for their third win in as many games in Serie A this weekend, having already beaten Genoa and Catania.
