Fulham boss Slavisa Jokanovic has said that Alfie Mawson's debut against Exeter City left him with "a positive sensation".
Mawson left Swansea City for Craven Cottage during the summer, but the centre-back has had to wait for his first appearance due to undergoing knee surgery at the end of the last campaign.
However, Mawson came through 75 minutes as the Premier League side ran out 2-0 winners, and Jokanovic was pleased with the defender's outing against the League Two outfit.
At a press conference, the Serbian told reporters: "After three months and a half or something like this, this was first time he played the game and with new teammates.
"Alfie showed the quality, the power and was strong in the air, he showed some experience and leadership too. It was a positive sensation for me and for Alfie."
Mawson will hope to feature when Fulham face Brighton & Hove Albion on Saturday afternoon.
