Slavisa Jokanovic 'threatens to walk away from Fulham'

Fulham manager Slavisa Jokanovic reportedly threatens to walk away from the club after seeing a loan deal for Andreas Pereira fall through.

Fulham manager Slavisa Jokanovic has threatened to resign from his post over a lack of transfer activity, according to reports.

The Cottagers have made a promising start to their first full season under Jokanovic, winning two and drawing two of their first four games of the Championship season.

However, the former Watford boss has grown frustrated at the club's transfer policy in recent weeks and is now ready to step down.

The Mirror reports that Jokanovic is particularly upset with data analyst Craig Kline - a friend of owner Shahid Khan's son who is thought to have pulled the plug on a loan deal for Manchester United defender Andreas Pereira.

"I had an opinion from one of the best managers in the world on one of the players and he believes it is a good signing for us and I believe that too. Craig doesn't believe it is a good signing for us and this guy is not with us," Jokanovic told reporters after Saturday's 2-2 draw with Cardiff City.

"It generally depends on this guy [Kline] who is going to sign for us or not. The last decision is in the hands of this man. It is not my business.

"I'm a little bit disappointed because no one knows who this guy [Kline] is. I want to take responsibility for how I work with my team and how they perform but I am not part of the recruitment business. It is in the hands of people who believe they're more prepared."

Jokanovic took over at Craven Cottage in December of last year.
