Urby Emanuelson says that he will join Fulham from AC Milan until the end of the season, and is looking forward to being reunited with former Ajax boss Martin Jol.

AC Milan midfielder Urby Emanuelson has confirmed speculation that he will join Fulham on loan until the end of the season.

Rumours broke on Tuesday night that the Dutch international looked certain to link up with former Ajax boss Martin Jol at Craven Cottage, and that he will undergo a medical at the club on Wednesday.

"I will finish the season with a loan deal," Emanuelson, 26, told De Telegraaf. "I have worked in a very good way with [Jol] at Ajax and am happy as he gives me the chance.

"Martin has a lot of confidence in me and that's what I need right now. At AC Milan I ended up on the bench from nowhere and I was really shocked with that. The previous two months were hard.

"At my age it is important to play week in, week out."

Emanuelson has 16 caps for the Netherlands.
