Fulham sign Spanish midfielder Jozabed

Fulham announce Spanish midfielder Jozabed as their ninth new arrival of the summer.

Fulham have signed Spanish midfielder Jozabed on a three-year deal from Spanish outfit Rayo Vallecano.

The 25-year-old, who can play in defence or attack, scored 10 times for Los Vallecanos last season - including against Barcelona and Real Madrid - but was unable to prevent his side from dropping down to the Segunda Division.

"It is a new experience for me and to be playing for such a historical English club is a real honour," Jozabed told the Fulham website.

"When I heard the club was interested in me I was very pleased. To be a football player and to hear that a big club is interested in you, it was a real privilege. This move creates new dreams and hopes for me and for my career. Fulham is a big club and I knew it from their Europa League campaign [in 2010]."

"It is a new league and a new way of playing the game. Having taken part in training and spoken to the gaffer I can see the style we want to play and I think I will fit in. I am looking forward to it. I hope to play for Fulham in a similar way to how I did in La Liga with a high passing rate and quick forward movement."

Jozabed is Fulham manager Slavisa Jokanovic's ninth signing of a busy transfer window, following on from the likes of Sone Aluko, Kevin McDonald and Floyd Ayite.
