Fulham starlet Jordan Evans agrees short-term Oxford United switch

Jordan Evans joins Oxford United on loan until January 16 after failing to break into Fulham's senior squad.

Oxford United have announced the two-month loan signing of Fulham youngster Jordan Evans.

The left-back has appeared in each of the Cottagers' Under-21s fixtures this term, scoring in two of his last three outings.

Evans, who was also named in Fulham's senior squad for the Capital One Cup tie against Stoke City, will stay in place at the Kassam Stadium until January 16.

After agreeing to drop down two tiers in search of regular first-team action, the 20-year-old defender said: "I'm really looking forward to it.

"I spoke with Ryan Williams when he was on loan here and he said what a good club it is, and now it's up to me to try and show what I can do and play my way into a team that is doing very well at the moment."

Evans could make his first Oxford appearance in Saturday's away meeting with Hartlepool United.
