Aleksandar Mitrovic is said to be on the brink of moving to Spanish side Real Betis following Fulham's relegation from the Premier League.
The Serbian joined the Cottagers last summer on a five-year, £22m deal but was unable to prevent the club's slide back into the Championship despite contributing 11 goals in 37 appearances.
West Ham United are thought to be seriously interested in Mitrovic as an alternative to top target Maxi Gomez, but Betis are now said to have pipped Manuel Pellegrini's side to the post in the last few days.
According to the Daily Star, Betis are currently £8m short of Fulham's £30m valuation of the 24-year-old but the two clubs are getting "close to a compromise".
Mitrovic initially joined Fulham on loan for the second half of the 2017-18 campaign and was instrumental in getting them promoted, with 12 goals in just 17 Championship outings.
