Pavel Pogrebnyak denies claims that he has held talks with Fulham over extending his stay at Craven Cottage.

Pavel Pogrebnyak has denied claims that he has held talks with Fulham over extending his stay at Craven Cottage.

The Russian striker has impressed with five goals in four games following his loan move from Stuttgart until the end of the season.

Despite playing down speculation concerning fresh terms, the 28-year-old has admitted that he would like to continue his career in England.

"My contract expires this summer," Pogrebnyak told Gazeta.ru. "So far no-one talked to me about an extension though I saw different things in the media which are not true.

"But I would like to stay in England very much, I like being here. It was my desire to play in the Premier League and my dream came true.

"I like England, I like London. The double deckers and the buildings made by red bricks are nice. You know London can't be compared to any other city."

Pogrebnyak had only scored once in 14 appearances for Stuttgart before his switch to Craven Cottage.
