Marcel Schmelzer, Marco Reus and Mario Gotze all withdraw from the Germany squad that is due to take on France.

Germany will be without three Borussia Dortmund players for their international friendly against France on Wednesday night.

Full-back Marcel Schmelzer has been ruled out with an ankle problem, while attacker Marco Reus has been forced to pull out with an abductor injury.

Mario Gotze will also play no part because he is suffering with the flu.

The news of the trio's withdrawal has come just a day after Bayern Munich midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger decided to pull out with an ankle complaint.
