Wednesday's Championship predictions including Stoke City vs. Swansea City

Sports Mole provides score predictions and previews for all of today's Championship fixtures, including Stoke City vs. Swansea City.

Bristol City vs. Huddersfield (Wednesday, 7.45pm)

Bristol City play host to Huddersfield Town on Wednesday evening looking to extend their unbeaten record in the Championship to five matches.

At a time when the home side sit in ninth position in the standings, Huddersfield are down in 23rd spot having collected just four points over the same period.

We say: Bristol City 3-1 Huddersfield Town

After the topsy-turvy nature of the draw at Blackpool, Pearson will want his side to get back to business at Ashton Gate. Although Huddersfield are improving, we expect them to do just that, with Conway and co getting back on the goal trail to boot.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 1.5 goals.

Coventry vs. Preston (Wednesday, 7.45pm)

Coventry City will play their first home league game of the season on Wednesday, when Preston North End arrive in the seventh round of Championship fixtures.

Having played just three games in England's second tier thus far, the Sky Blues have seen their pitch deemed playable, and they welcome a Preston side who are yet to concede a goal in six Championship matches.

We say: Coventry City 0-1 Preston North End

Even with a dangerous strike force, it is difficult to predict Coventry breaking down a Preston defence which has been impenetrable thus far, so Wednesday's game may more be a matter of whether the Lilywhites can end their dismal attacking form.

Given the hosts' slow start to the season, we see Lowe's men creating enough to find a decisive goal and leave with all three points.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 2.5 goals.

Sunderland vs. Rotherham (Wednesday, 7.45pm)

Fresh off the departure of manager Alex Neil, Sunderland will welcome Rotherham United to the Stadium of Light on Wednesday.

The two newly-promoted sides have both made pleasing starts to the Championship season, and the Black Cats will hope to return to winning ways in their second game without the Scotsman on the touchline.

We say: Sunderland 1-1 Rotherham United

Spirits in the Sunderland camp may be low after the departure of Neil, and, while we do not see the Millers taking all three points in a tough midweek trip to the Stadium of Light, they should have enough to snatch a point given the confidence they will have from a strong start.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 2.5 goals.

Stoke vs. Swansea (Wednesday, 7.45pm)

Stoke City will head into their first game under the management of Alex Neil on Wednesday, as they entertain Swansea City.

The Scotsman's appointment was announced on Sunday after Michael O'Neill's departure and a subsequent 1-0 win over Blackburn Rovers at the weekend.

We say: Stoke City 2-0 Swansea City

Stoke City will feel rejuvenated after the weekend's win, and the introduction of Neil should provide a further boost in the camp as a new manager so often does.

The Scotsman will see Wednesday's game as a good opportunity to start on the front foot against a struggling Swansea side, and we back them to take all three points in relatively comfortable fashion.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 2.5 goals.

Blackpool vs. Blackburn (Wednesday, 8.00pm)

In the seventh round of fixtures of the new Championship season, Blackburn Rovers will make the short trip to Bloomfield Road to take on Blackpool on Wednesday.

The Lancashire sides are separated by just one point in the second-tier table, with the visitors having lost their last three league outings after making a perfect start to the term.

We say: Blackpool 2-1 Blackburn Rovers

Blackburn's form has taken a sharp dip in recent weeks, and, while their hosts are yet to establish any consistency in the Championship thus far, we fancy Appleton's men to triumph in front of a Bloomfield Road crowd.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 2.5 goals.
