Huddersfield Town are close to completing a loan deal with Monaco for defender Terence Kongolo, as talks are reportedly at an advanced stage.
Terriers boss David Wagner confirmed on Monday that he is a big fan of the Netherlands international and is keen to get a move over the line this week.
According to Sky Sports News, confirmation of the switch is expected to be made in the next 24 hours, making the 23-year-old Huddersfield's first capture of the January window.
Kongolo joined Monaco from Feyenoord on a five-year deal in the summer, but has been used just six times so far, including once in the Champions League.
The Dutchman is a centre-back by trade, though most of his rare outings this term have come at left-back.
