Steve Bruce has joked that his Hull City team are "not very good" at penalties after Tom Huddlestone missed from 12 yards in tonight's Europa League draw with Trencin.
Bruce's 100th game in charge was soured somewhat after Huddlestone missed a 60th-minute penalty to earn the Tigers victory in their first ever European outing.
The former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder compounded the misery by missing the rebound from three yards, and Bruce says that practice is very much needed for his side.
"You'd have put the house on that Tom would score," he is quoted as saying by Sky Sports News.
"It was easier to score. We've all missed penalties, we've all missed big chances in front of goal, you don't intend to do it.
"But we've missed our last three or four I think so we better start practising because we're not very good at them."
Hull host their Slovakian counterparts for the second leg at the KC Stadium next Thursday.
