Steve Bruce upbeat ahead of crucial month

Hull City boss Steve Bruce believes that his side's draw against Everton can be a turning point ahead of a crucial month of fixtures.

Hull City boss Steve Bruce is hopeful that his side's result against Everton will give them a confidence boost heading into their fixtures over the festive period.

The Tigers ended a run of four straight defeats with a 1-1 draw against the Toffees as Sone Aluko earned his side a point at Goodison Park, and Bruce now feels that his team can kick on over the next month of the campaign.

He told the club's official website: "I hope that gives everybody a lift. We've got a huge month coming up now. For me, this is the defining month of the season.

"Hopefully we can get a couple of people back fit to help the cause, but we have to also remember the effort and endeavour that has got us to where we are as well as the spirit amongst them all. Without that, we are just like any other normal football club."

Hull are 17th in the Premier League going into their clash with West Bromwich Albion later today.
