Paul McShane to undergo further scans

Hull City defender Paul McShane is to undergo further scans next week after suffering an ankle injury during Tuesday's defeat to Southampton in the Premier League.

Hull City defender Paul McShane will undergo further scans next week after suffering an ankle injury during Tuesday's defeat to Southampton.

The 28-year-old was stretchered off in the 12th minute at the KC Stadium as the Tigers were beaten 1-0 by the Saints in the Premier League.

McShane had tests on his ankle in the 24 hours following the match, but medical experts have decided to wait until the swelling has gone down before determining the extent of the damage.

Hull return to action on Monday night when they travel to Brighton & Hove Albion in the fifth round of the FA Cup.
