Hull City boss Steve Bruce keen to offer quartet new deals

Hull City boss Steve Bruce is eager to offer contract extensions to four members of his squad.

Hull City boss Steve Bruce has revealed that he is keen to offer contract extensions to four members of his squad.

Alex Bruce, Paul McShane, Liam Rosenior and Stephen Quinn are all approaching the end of their current deals at the KC Stadium.

However, Bruce is hopeful that the quartet will commit their futures to the Tigers in the coming weeks.

"I had a conversation with the board recently and the plan is to talk to individuals soon," he is quoted as saying by the Hull Daily Mail. "The thing to remember is that we are only 15 months into it, but all those who have been with me, we have to look after them. They are just as important to me as anyone.

"Alex has come in recently, Paul McShane too. Liam has done the same several times already. And Stephen Quinn. They are just as important as someone who thinks they will play every week. Your big players. You need that squad because injuries are inevitable."

Hull are currently just two points above the relegation zone in the Premier League table following a winless run of four matches.
