Hull City manager Steve Bruce has claimed that Andrew Robertson could be worth as much as Manchester United and England defender Luke Shaw.
Robertson has been repeatedly linked with a move away from the KC Stadium following Hull's relegation from the Premier League, and Bruce admits that the club are unlikely to be able to keep the 21-year-old.
The full-back cost just £2.85m when he joined from Dundee United last summer, but Bruce believes that he should be compared to Shaw, who cost United close to £30m when they signed him from Southampton.
"Luke Shaw went from Southampton to Manchester United after just one season in the top flight for £30m, and I rate Andy on a par with him as a young player with bags of ability and potential," the Tigers boss told reporters.
"We have already had calls from clubs asking to be kept informed about his situation, and it might become inevitable that he goes.
"I've heard people talking about it taking £12m to buy him. That would just about buy his right leg, and the boy is left-footed!"
Chelsea, Arsenal and Aston Villa are all believed to be interested in Robertson.
