Andrea Ranocchia says that his Inter Milan teammate Antonio Cassano is better than Napoli forward Edinson Cavani.

Inter Milan defender Andrea Ranocchia believes that his teammate Antonio Cassano is a better player than Napoli forward Edinson Cavani.

The Italy international is likely to start against the Azzurri in Sunday's Serie A clash between the two sides at San Siro after sitting out the last two matches because of suspension.

"We really missed him because he is a phenomenon," Ranocchia told the Il Corriere dello Sport.

"There are few around with his technique and vision. He can invent anything at any moment. I know what he has done in his career and can say he is capable of doing even better.

"Who would I choose between Cavani and Cassano? Cassano, of course."

Napoli are currently two points ahead of Inter in second in Serie A.
