Roberto Mancini given one-game ban

Roberto Mancini is issued with a one-game ban for his actions in Sunday's derby defeat to AC Milan.

Inter Milan manager Roberto Mancini has been handed a one-game ban for his behaviour during yesterday's derby defeat to AC Milan at San Siro.

The Italian was sent off by the referee during the second half of the match after he protested at a decision not to award his side a penalty.

Announcing the match ban on Monday, Serie A's disciplinary committee said that Mancini had "made a derogatory remark to the fourth official when he was removed and then addressed the spectators with an insulting gesture".

The former Manchester City boss has also been accused of using "offensive language" to a television presenter in a post-match interview, although he was not cited by the committee for the alleged incident.

A report earlier on Monday suggested that Mancini would hold "crunch talks" with senior Inter executives after the defeat left them nine points behind league leaders Napoli.
