Vice-president Javier Zanetti has acknowledged that Mauro Icardi is unlikely to return to the Inter Milan first-team squad.
After issues behind the scenes led to Icardi falling out of favour at San Siro, the Argentina international was loaned out to Paris Saint-Germain.
Despite netting 20 goals during his time at Parc des Princes, it remains unclear whether PSG will agree to take up their option of signing the 27-year-old for £59m.
However, regardless of the decision made by the French outfit and Icardi, Zanetti has seemingly dismissed the possibility of the frontman representing the club next season.
Speaking to ESPN, Zanetti said: "I don't know, I don't think so. Right now we are not talking about the transfer market.
"The most important thing is health. Then we'll have time to think about it."
Icardi still has just over two years left on his Inter contract.
