Harry Redknapp heading for Ipswich Town?

Speculation intensifies that Harry Redknapp is about to take over at Ipswich Town after bookmakers stop taking bets on the former Tottenham Hotspur moving to Portman Road.

A number of bookmakers have stopped taking bets on Harry Redknapp becoming the new manager of Ipswich Town.

Current Ipswich boss Paul Jewell has found himself under pressure following his side's slow start to the season, which has seen them fall into the Championship's relegation zone.

As a result a number of managers have been linked with the post, including Paul Ince and Dennis Wise.

However, following the recent decision of the bookies, Redknapp is now considered the favourite to replace Jewell.

Reports have claimed that Jewell could be sacked following the conclusion of today's match with Charlton Athletic.
