Ipswich Town confirm return of Jonathan Walters from Burnley

Ipswich Town confirm that they have re-signed forward Jonathan Walters from Burnley on a loan deal until January.

Ipswich Town have completed the loan signing of Burnley forward Jonathan Walters.

Walters has spent the last eight years of his career contracted to the Clarets and Stoke City in the Premier League, but the Republic of Ireland international had earlier made a name for himself at Portman Road.

The attacker netted 32 times from 146 appearances in all competitions, and Ipswich have provided the player with the chance to resurrect his career in the Championship.

The 34-year-old barely featured for Burnley last season, and it has resulted in Sean Dyche giving Walters the opportunity to spend a second period in East Anglia.

Walters is scheduled to return to Turf Moor at the start of 2019.
