Italy beat Hungary 2-0 to secure their place in the semi-finals of the Nations League.

Italy have secured their place in the semi-finals of the UEFA Nations League courtesy of a 2-0 victory over Hungary in Budapest this evening.

Roberto Mancini's men knew that only a win would be enough to leapfrog their hosts at the top of League A Group 3 after Hungary beat Germany in Leipzig last time out to take a two-point lead into the final group game.

Goals from Giacomo Raspadori and Federico Dimarco secured that win for the Azzurri, allowing the European champions to pip Hungary to top spot at the end of an otherwise successful campaign for the Magyars.

Italy, who failed to qualify for this winter's World Cup, join Netherlands and Croatia in the last four of the Nations League, which will take place next June.

The semi-final lineup will be confirmed on Tuesday, with Portugal and Spain going head to head for the one remaining spot in Braga.

The other game in League A Group 3 this evening was a dead-rubber, but threw up plenty of drama as England and Germany played out a topsy-turvy 3-3 draw at Wembley.

All of the goals came in the second half as England ended their goal drought by coming from 2-0 down to lead 3-2 in the space of 11 minutes, only for a Nick Pope error to gift Germany an equaliser.

Elsewhere, Romania suffered relegation from Group B3 despite their 4-1 victory over Bosnia-Herzegovina.

Edward Iordanescu's side went into their final match still with a chance of surviving, but needing results elsewhere to also go their way even if they beat Bosnia.

Goals from Dennis Man, George Puscas (2) and Andrei Ratiu ensured that Romania held up their end of the bargain, despite an Edin Dzeko response for Bosnia, but Finland's 2-0 win away to 10-man Montenegro meant that it was not enough.

Bosnia had already secured promotion from League B, while the other groups involved in tonight's action had already been decided before kickoff, with Georgia earning promotion to League B and Estonia going up from League D.
