Report: Claudio Marchisio misses training due to thigh injury

Juventus midfielder Claudio Marchisio could miss Sunday's Serie A opener with Udinese after injuring his thigh, according to reports.

Claudio Marchisio has reportedly been added to the injury list at Juventus after the midfielder picked up a thigh problem.

The importance of the Italy international is expected to be even greater this season following the departures of Arturo Vidal and Andrea Pirlo, but he is now a doubt for Sunday's Serie A opener against Udinese.

According to Calciomercato, Marchisio was forced to miss training on Tuesday with the injury and he will have a scan later today to find out how long he will need to recover fully.

Massimiliano Allegri already has issues in midfield due to Sami Khedira's injury, while Alvaro Morata and Giorgio Chiellini will both sit out Sunday's game.
