Former Juventus player Fabio Cannavaro has admitted that he is interested in the coaching job at the club.
The news comes amidst reports suggesting that Antonio Conte could be handed a 15-month ban for his involvement in the match-fixing scandal.
Conte had a plea bargain application rejected at Wednesday's trial and now faces a suspension. Cannavaro, who is an icon at the Old Lady, attained his coaching qualifications this week and has since been linked with the Turin job.
"What would I do if Juventus called me? It's those challenges, and those teams, that it would be difficult to say no to," Cannavaro told RTL 102.5 radio.
"Right now they have a great coach who won the Scudetto, so I hope they can resolve this matter.
"After all, the only problem with Conte when banned would be the fact he couldn't sit on the bench on a Sunday. A real coach is seen by his day to day work in training."
Cannavaro spent three seasons at Juventus, making 101 league appearances in two spells with the Serie A giants.
