Juventus's Antonio Conte: "We were lucky"

Juventus coach Antonio Conte admits that his team were lucky to beat Chievo in last night's Serie A encounter at the Stadio Marc'Antonio Bentegodi.

Juventus coach Antonio Conte has said that his team were lucky in last night's Serie A clash with Chievo.

The Bianconeri left the Stadio Marc'Antonio Bentegodi with all three points thanks to Fabio Quagliarella's striker and an own goal from Alessandro Benardini.

However, Juve should have gone 2-1 down when Alberto Paloschi had a goal chalked off by the linesman's flag.

"Chievo's sense of fair play is impressive and everyone should follow their example," Conte told Mediaset Premium. "We were lucky today, because the situation went our way.

"It's an important victory for us during a difficult period of the season that made squad rotation necessary."

Juve face Torino in the Turin derby on Sunday.
