Sunday's Serie A predictions including Udinese vs. Juventus

Sports Mole provides score predictions for all of Sunday's Serie A fixtures, including Udinese vs. Juventus.

Bologna vs. Salernitana (Sunday, 5.30pm)

Set to start their Serie A campaign at home to a promoted side, Bologna welcome second tier runners-up Salernitana to Stadio Renato Dall'Ara on Sunday.

After successive 12th-place finishes, the home team will hope to contest a top-half placing this season, while their Campanian visitors' only target is to survive.

We say: Bologna 1-1 Salernitana

Bologna have proven in recent Coppa Italia action that they can be defensively susceptible, so Salernitana will fancy their chances of getting off the mark on Sunday by bringing home at least a point.

Particularly if danger man Simy can feature at some stage, the away side are likely to score at least once, while the hosts have renewed firepower of their own and can secure a first-day score draw.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 1.5 goals.

Udinese vs. Juventus (Sunday, 5.30pm)

Finally dethroned as the kings of Calcio last season, Juventus will seek a fast start in recovering the Scudetto as they meet Udinese in their Serie A opener on Sunday.

With their nine-year dominance at an end, Juve had only a Coppa Italia triumph and last-minute qualification for the Champions League as consolation, so have made an inevitable change in the dugout to turn things around.

We say: Udinese 0-2 Juventus

Juventus dropped too many points against sides bound for a bottom-half finish last term, so will be eager to start on the right foot this weekend at the Friuli.

With Paulo Dybala fully fit and Manuel Locatelli adding a missing ingredient to their midfield department, the visitors are likely to prove too hot for Udinese to handle under their returning supremo, Max Allegri.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.

Napoli vs. Venezia (Sunday, 7.45pm)

After a season of feuding and failure to seal a top-four place, Napoli start their 2021-22 campaign on Sunday, at home to promoted Venezia.

While the Partenopei are hoping to fare better under new management, their Venetian visitors return to Serie A following a 19-year absence, having gained promotion through the playoffs last term.

We say: Napoli 3-1 Venezia

When in top gear last term, Napoli were virtually unstoppable in the final third, so with Victor Osimhen now fully fit and firing, they can get off to a winning start on Sunday.

Though Venezia enter the season with wide-eyed ambition, such a testing task first up is likely to prove beyond them - particularly with a long list of absentees and an unfamiliar lineup.

Our tipster partners are predicting a home win.

Roma vs. Fiorentina (Sunday, 7.45pm)

A new era gets underway in the Italian capital on Sunday, as Roma welcome Fiorentina to Stadio Olimpico in their first match of the Serie A season.

Now under the leadership of Jose Mourinho, the Giallorossi will take on a side who have experienced more than enough managerial change of their own this year - with their previous boss lasting only 22 days in the job.

We say: Roma 2-1 Fiorentina

While Fiorentina may just have stumbled on the right manager after a series of missteps, they might have to wait until next week's home game with Torino for their first points of the new season.

Even if the jury is still out on Roma's high-profile appointment, they have proved a formidable force at the Olimpico in recent times and should continue that trend on Sunday night thanks to some interesting attacking acquisitions.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.
