Kris Boyd scored two goals in two minutes to help Kilmarnock beat Hearts 4-2 in their pulsating Scottish Premiership game this afternoon.

Ryan Stevenson fired over early on for the visitors during an opening period where both sides struggled to create chances.

The first real opening saw Dylan McGowan clear off the line following Lee Ashcroft's effort.

Stevenson again saw a long-range drive go over the bar before Hearts' Danny Wilson put the ball into his own net after a deflection from Rory McKenzie's ball into the box.

Kilmarnock's lead only lasted a few minutes as Dale Carrick lifted the ball over Craig Samson to equalise before the break.

Kris Boyd then put Kilmarnock back in front when he slammed home before getting another two minutes later.

Sam Nicholson pulled one back for Hearts when he slotted in Billy King's cutback but Michael Gardyne scored a fourth goal for Kilmarnock to secure the points.
