Lazio playmaker Hernanes is determined to qualify for next season's Champions League.

Lazio playmaker Hernanes is confident that his side can finish in the top three in Serie A and qualify for next season's Champions League campaign.

The Rome outfit defeated AC Milan 3-2 at the Stadio Olimpico on Saturday to remain third in the table, four points behind leaders Juventus.

"We worked very well over the last two weeks and it was a great performance," he said. "We learned from our mistakes and that has made the difference.

"We are fired up and want to do even more. What are our objectives? If we continue like this, then we really are fighting for the Champions League."

Hernanes joined Lazio from Sao Paulo in 2010.
