West Ham United have confirmed that Felipe Anderson is leaving to return to Lazio ahead of the 2021-22 season.
The Brazilian attacker made a positive impression during his first campaign in the Premier League, scoring nine goals and assisting four more in 36 appearances during the 2018-19 season.
However, Anderson struggled to make as much of an impact a year later and was shipped out to Porto on loan last term, where he played a mere 10 games in all competitions.
Now, West Ham have confirmed his expected departure, writing on their official website: "West Ham United can confirm that it has agreed a deal for Felipe Anderson to join Italian Serie A side Lazio on an undisclosed permanent transfer.
"Everyone at West Ham United would like to thank Felipe Anderson for his contribution made during his time as a Hammer and wish him the very best for his future."
Anderson leaves West Ham after scoring 12 goals and assisting 13 more in 73 appearances across all competitions, and David Moyes's side will reportedly pocket 50% of any future sale.
The one-cap Brazil international rejoins Lazio after amassing 34 goals and 39 assists in 177 games for the Italian side during a five-year spell between 2013 and 2018.
