Lazio dismisses Hernanes to AC Milan rumours

Hernanes will not leave Lazio for AC Milan this summer, insists the club's president Claudio Lotito.

Lazio president Claudio Lotito has insisted that playmaker Hernanes will not leave the club for AC Milan this summer.

The Brazilian's impressive performances for the Aquile this season have reportedly attracted the attention of the Rossoneri.

"Hernanes to Milan? There has been no contact," Football Italia quotes him as saying. "Anyway, he is not on the market.

"We want to strengthen the squad, that's for sure. But that will depend on whether we can achieve our objective [of winning the Coppa Italia and qualifying for the Europa League].

"[Coach Vladimir] Petkovic's future has never been in doubt."

Hernanes has been at Lazio since 2010.
