Leeds United owner Massimo Cellino has cast fresh doubt over the position of manager Steve Evans by declaring that he needs "to learn to shut his mouth".

Evans took over at Elland Road last October and, despite having the longest tenure of a boss in the Cellino era, speculation is rife that he will be relieved of his duties at the end of the season.

"He talks too much," Cellino said of Evans in an interview with The Telegraph. "He has to learn to shut his mouth. I've told him so many times to stop, you have no idea. But he doesn't."

Cellino went on to deny speculation that he is planning to replace Evans with countryman Fabio Cannavaro this summer.

"I'm 100% not looking to appoint Cannavaro as manager," he insisted. "There's not one chance."

In the interview, Cellino also hit out at English managers in general, claiming that he "cannot work" with them as they "want to control everything".
