Brian McDermott eyes Leeds United additions

Leeds United manager Brian McDermott reveals that he has drafted a list of transfer targets for new owner Massimo Cellino to pursue over the summer.

Leeds United manager Brian McDermott has revealed that he has composed a list of transfer targets for the club to pursue this summer.

Leeds are expected to be busy in the transfer market, with new owner Massimo Cellino eyeing a long-awaited return to the Premier League within two years.

McDermott's side fell to a 2-0 defeat at the hands of Nottingham Forest this afternoon, and the former Reading boss acknowledged that something needed to change over the summer for them to avoid a repeat such performances in the future.

"We definitely need to look at bringing players in and making changes to the squad. I have a list of targets and we have to try and do the deals. I will have a meeting with Massimo when he returns this week," McDermott told reporters.

"We have seen that kind of performance too many times this season and it is something we have to address in the summer. We have to make sure the squad is up for the challenge of next season."

Leeds have now lost six of their last eight matches and sit 16th in the Championship table having once been contenders for the playoffs.
