Preview: Fulham vs. Leeds United

Sports Mole previews the Championship fixture between Fulham and Leeds United at Craven Cottage.

Fulham boss Kit Symons will be hopeful that his side can take a further step towards safety when they host Leeds United on Wednesday evening.

Symons saw the Cottagers come from behind to earn a 1-1 draw at Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday afternoon, a result that has left the club six points clear of danger.

The West London outfit will be wary of a late surge from Wigan Athletic, but for Symons, he will be keen to stress that his team focus on their own results as he targets a strong end to the campaign.

Cauley Woodrow is pushing for a recall in attack, but Symons could opt to name the same lineup that started at Hillsborough.

Leeds head into the contest having drawn 0-0 with Nottingham Forest, but manager Neil Redfearn will be delighted with the performances of his side since the turn of the year.

The Yorkshire giants have recorded 24 points from 13 games since January 10 to help them move 14 points clear of the relegation zone, but they remain the same margin away from a playoff spot.

Redfearn will acknowledge that there is little but pride to play for, but the former Barnsley midfielder will want a positive conclusion to the campaign as he targets a new contract in the summer.

The starting lineup may remain unchanged, but top goalscorer Mirco Antenucci, who has reportedly attracted interest from Norwich City, could earn a recall to the side.
