Peterborough United forward Jack Marriott has reportedly emerged as a transfer target for both Celtic and Rangers.
Marriott is regarded as one of the best forwards outside of the top two divisions of English football, having scored 27 goals in League One last season.
The 23-year-old's form has allegedly led to interest from Championship clubs Leeds United and Nottingham Forest but according to the Scottish Sun, Celtic and Rangers are monitoring the situation.
Celtic are well stocked for frontmen but Brendan Rodgers could decide that bringing in Marriott could add a fresh dimension to his attack, while Steven Gerrard is currently in the process of evaluating his squad at Ibrox.
Marriott still has three years remaining on his contract, and with Peterborough having already given permission for Marcus Maddison to leave the third-tier outfit, owner Darragh MacAnthony is likely to hold out for a big fee.
