Scottish internationals Craig Mackail-Smith and Ross McCormack will reportedly trade clubs this summer.
Leeds United manager Neil Warnock is believed to be extremely keen on bolstering his attacking options before the new season and is said to have identified Mackail-Smith as the ideal candidate.
However, the 28-year-old's current club Brighton & Hove Albion would want around £3.5m for their striker, a fee that Leeds would be unable to afford.
As a result, Warnock is willing to use 25-year-old McCormack as bait to ensure that the deal goes through, according to the Daily Record.
Speculation has claimed that both players would be open to a move.
