Leeds United boss Brian McDermott: 'No further Ross McCormack bids expected'

Leeds United manager Brian McDermott says that no further January bids are expected for top scorer Ross McCormack.

Leeds United are not expecting any further bids for top scorer Ross McCormack in the final week of the January transfer window, manager Brian McDermott has said.

A bid from Premier League club West Ham United was rejected last week and McDermott does not expect any further interest from the Hammers or anyone else.

"The bid for Ross was rejected on Friday and I've have spoken to [West Ham manager] Sam Allardyce since and he has said that they won't be coming back in for him," McDermott told the club's official website.

"I am confident that he will be here after the window closes on Friday. Ross has never asked to leave. He is my captain and he is a talisman for our team."

McCormack, 27, leads the Championship scoring charts with 17 goals.
